This policy explains how Basilico Simply Italian Limited (“we”, “us”), trading as BEA, uses cookies and similar storage on BEA Type at https://beatype.co.uk. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use equivalent browser storage (such as localStorage) for a few preferences. We treat both the same way under this policy, and “cookies” below means both.
How we ask for consent
On your first visit a banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Customise by category. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot work without them; every other category is off by default until you opt in. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies before you consent.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings button in the corner of the screen. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Your choice is stored in your browser; clearing your browser storage will bring the banner back.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary (always on) — Required for sign-in, CSRF protection, and remembering this consent choice itself. The site can't work without them.
- Functional (opt-in) — Remember your preferences (test duration, theme, keyboard layout) across visits. No third parties.
- Analytics (opt-in) — Help us understand which features get used, so we know what to improve. Aggregate only — we don't identify you.
- Advertising (opt-in) — Let Google AdSense show ads on some pages. These cookies help AdSense measure ad performance and, if you opt in, personalise ads.
We do not currently set any analytics cookies; the Analytics control is there for aggregate, non-identifying measurement if we add it later, and nothing is placed under it unless and until you have opted in.

Where these partners process data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.
