Refund Policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

We want you to be happy with BEA Type. This policy explains when a refund is available and how to request one.

Certificates

  • Before issuance: if a payment succeeds but the certificate fails to generate for any reason on our end, we will issue a full refund automatically.
  • After issuance: because the certificate is instantly generated, delivered, and publicly verifiable, certificate purchases are non-refundable once issued — except in the cases below.
  • Technical error: if the certificate PDF is corrupted, unreadable, or the verification page fails for more than 48 hours, we will re-issue or refund at our discretion.
  • Unauthorised charge: contact us within 10 days. If we confirm the charge was not authorised, we refund in full.

Premium subscriptions

  • Monthly plans are non-refundable for the current billing cycle. Cancel any time — you keep access until the cycle ends, then billing stops.
  • Yearly plans are refundable on a pro-rata basis within the first 14 days if you haven’t generated more than three certificates. After 14 days, yearly plans follow the monthly rule (cancel any time, access continues to period end).

How to request a refund

Email billing@beatype.co.uk with your account email and the certificate number / subscription ID. We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days (exact timing depends on your bank).

Your statutory rights (UK)

If you are a consumer in the UK you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase. A certificate is digital content generated and delivered immediately: by asking us to issue it you agree to that immediate supply and acknowledge you lose the 14-day cancellation right once issuance begins. This does not affect a refund where the certificate is faulty or not as described. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Chargebacks & revocation

If you initiate a chargeback on a certificate purchase, the certificate will be revoked and publicly flagged as revoked on its verification page. Please reach out to us before disputing — we almost always resolve issues faster than your bank can.
